Adopt-a-Crag Trail Day
Sunday October 21st – 9:00am – 4:00pm – Meet at the Bolton Quarry
Please join us for a day of improving trails, clearing overgrowth, and other maintenance projects at surrounding Bolton climbing areas like the 82 Crag and Upper West. Give back to the areas we play in to help preserve them for the future!
Breakfast bagels, coffee donated by Bruegger’s Bagels, grilled lunch will be provided, and a raffle with prizes from our community sponsors will be held at lunch.
Meet at the Bolton Quarry at 9:00am. From Route 2, turn onto Green Mountain Rd., Bolton VT and follow the road up the hill until a left turn makes you continue up a narrow dirt road. Please plan to carpool… you can consolidate cars at either the park-n-ride in Richmond, or the nearby Smiley Elementary School — there may be volunteers directing the parking if we have a lot of cars! Please respect the neighbors as you drive through this residential area.
Wear long pants, long sleeves, sturdy shoes or boots (waterproof is helpful), and bring a pair of work gloves and a waterbottle. Hopefully there will be time to climb afterwards, so bring your climbing gear!
Please RSVP here so we can gauge how much food we will need. The more the merrier, tell your friends and neighbors!
